Clay bar treatment, explained

Run your hand over your clean paint. If it feels rough, a clay bar is the fix.

From our detailers · 2 min read

Even after a wash, tiny particles stay bonded to your paint: brake dust, rail and industrial fallout, tree sap and overspray. You can feel them as a rough, gritty texture.

A detailing clay bar glides over lubricated paint and pulls those particles out. Afterward the paint feels smooth as glass, looks clearer, and sealant bonds much better.

Every Wash Haus detail package includes clay bar decontamination. The Works and One-Step Paint Correction add an iron remover for the particles clay can't reach.
